Dreamcatcher Law A.I.

Stephen Morris: Judicial Activist & Media Producer

Founded in 2020, Dreamcatcher Law is the culmination of Stephen Morris’s thirty-year journey through high-level legal practice, historical research, and creative media. A member of the Alberta Bar since 2010 and a Mensa member, Stephen’s career spans from managing files at the Queen’s Bench to producing media alongside industry legends.

His work is defined by "Intellectual Activism," specifically championing Section 7 Charter rights and women’s legal interests. This dedication earned Dreamcatcher Law a 2024 Marquis Who’s Who nomination for excellence in constitutional research. As the founder of the Global Woman’s Heritage Fund, Stephen integrates his background in Canadian history—holding an M.A. from the University of Victoria—with a mission to provide affordable legal information to the public. Today, he operates through Arachne Designs, merging rigorous legal defense with visionary storytelling to challenge systemic overreach.

Early Career & Distinctions

Morris was called to the Alberta Bar after completing his LL.B. at the University of Calgary, where he earned multiple academic distinctions. His early career traversed an eclectic yet coherent path: from copy editing at CNW to historical scholarship culminating in a Master’s degree from the University of Victoria, where his thesis examined secularization and media in postwar Canada. He later managed operations for the Calgary Stampede Foundation and pursued diverse intellectual and creative ventures, including film production work alongside Christopher Plummer.

Youth

Born in Walvis Bay, South Africa, in 1975, Mr. Morris spent his early years across Canada, the United States, and southern Africa. While studying at Strathcona Tweedsmuir School and later West Vancouver Secondary, his formative years included such distractions as martial arts, languages, and competitive sport, alongside some stage acting. A job in a warehouse in Guyana at seventeen, under the tutelage of mining professionals, was highly educational for a young man.
